World Maths Day 1st March 2011

World Maths Day will be held on the 1st of March this year.  World Maths Day is an event run by Mathletics.  Children all around the world compete for 24 hours using the Mathletics site.  There are certificates and prizes to be won.  On Tuesday we will be trying to play mathletics as much as we can.  I am encouraging students to also play it as much as they can when they go home on Tuesday afternoon.  Mathletics is a fantastic site that really helps improve mental computation skills and mathematical understanding.  Due to the competition I will be reducing the amount of Intrepica activities and increasing the Mathletics activities.
